The last WEE event of June took place at the western end of Castlewellan Forest Park. The course was slightly shorter due to the more technical ground, but this did not stop some people having their ‘headless chicken’ moment looking for a few of the controls (some would say that a few of the controls were not in the right place). Jonny and Paul both competed, but Paul pulled out after the eighth control due to a head cold picked up from the weekend before. Even with a few mistakes, Jonny had a good run and finished 2.51 minutes behind the winner, Ivan Millar, in 2nd place. The WEE series is taking a break during July and will kick off again back in Belfast for August.
